Organizations who wish to join MardeCetáceos must follow the following working premises:

1. All research projects must be conducted in non-lethal ways.

2. Participants must promote that whale watching is conducted in a responsible way, protecting the activity from proposals which are incompatible with its development and sustainability.

3. Through its actions, the organization must promote the conservation of cetaceans in their natural habitats.

4. They shall tend to cooperative work with other conservation organizations, with Government agents in its home country and other countries in the region, in order to find participative solutions to conservation problems involving cetaceans.

Procedure

1. E-mail a participation request to , attaching references from two or more active participants to the network.

2. Include the following information in the request: organization name and mission, full name of a responsible representative, position, or duty, contact information, and professional record.

3. To support an organization, participants shall state the reasons why they consider the requesting organization follows the working premises of MardeCetáceos.
